The Direction du Développement professionnel continu (Direction du DPC) [continuing professional development directorate] of the Faculty of Medicine of the Université de Montréal is fully accredited by the Committee on Accreditation of Continuing Medical Education (CACME) and the Collège des médecins du Québec (CMQ).

The Direction du DPC recognizes, for the Public Health Workshop, 12 hours credited in Category 1 for the general practitioners (family physicians) or specialists present.

For medical specialists who are members of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC), the Direction du DPC recognizes 1 credit from Section 1 per hour of participation, for a total of 12 credits for the overall activity, in accordance with the RCPSC Maintenance of Certification Program.

For any other participating professional, this program certifies 12 hours of participation.

Participants must claim a number of hours on the basis of their participation.

* Although the Public Health Workshop is accredited and gives access to training credits, it is not eligible for the training allowances available to Quebec general practitioners because it is held on a weekend.
