Application Deadline: February 18, 2010

Students, postdoctoral fellows and other scientists can apply for travel awards. The funding comes from three different sources: National Institutes of Health/NIH (USA), International Papillomavirus Society and HPV 2010 Montreal.

Please read the guidelines carefully.

NIH TRAVEL AWARDS

For applicants working in the USA:

Guidelines:
  1. NIH travel awards are reserved to students and postdoctoral fellows who travel to the Conference from the USA (i.e.: currently work in a laboratory within the USA) independently of their country of origin or citizenship status. In rare cases, junior faculty members, also from the USA, at the beginning of their independent career can also be supported by this mechanism.
  2. Travel awards of up to USD 1,000.00/each, are available to students, postdoctoral fellows and other scientists who need financial support to travel to the IPV Conference.
  3. By norm, the recipient of a travel award is the presenter of an abstract.
  4. Women, minorities and scientists traveling from low-resource countries, and persons with disabilities are encouraged to apply for support.
  5. The selection of recipients of all travel awards will be made by the scientific committee, based on the scientific merit of the abstract submitted for presentation.
  6. Award recipients will be notified by e-mail shortly after the selection of oral and poster presentations is completed by the scientific committee.
  7. All travel awards will be distributed at the Conference. In order to claim a travel award, the recipient must produce copies of all documentation of travel (including airfare or other transportation, lodging, meals and registration) expenses for the conference. These documents will remain with the IPVS, since they are needed to fulfill reporting requirements to funding agencies.
  8. Travel awards cannot be made for any amount exceeding the total of travel expenses, or for more than USD 1,000.00 per person.
