>> P-527: NFk B EXPRESSION IN CERVICAL DYSPLASIA AND CANCER IN SMEARS - A C0RRELATION WITH HPV POSITIVITY19:00 PM - 19:00 PM 1Department of Pathology, Era's Lucknow Medical College & Hospital, Lucknow, U.P., India; 2Department of Pathology, C.S.M. Medical University, Lucknow, U.P., India; 3Department of Obs & Gynae, C.S.M. Medical University, Lucknow, U.P., India; 4ARBC, University of Delhi, New Delhi, India. Background: NFkB is constitutively raised in cases of cervical cancer, however not all the cases of HSIL or LSIL show NFkB expression. While HPV positivity accounts for about 90% cervical cancer cases in India, the opposite is not true. Could HPV positivity be correlated with NFkB expression in cervical cancer smears vis-à-vis grade of the disease, was the aim of the present study. |
